The other day I was reloading some rounds for my 6.5X52MM for my Italian Cavalry Carbine, and even though I was carefully lubing the casings, I still got one stuck. Needless to say after an hour of hard labor, I finally got it free of the die, but noted the Norma base of the case was ripped off, and the re-capping pin had broken off. To make a long story short, I called Lee Precision, and explained to them what had happened, I told them that the die was not damaged, but the de-capping pin was broken and due to the pin being an integral part of the pin mechanism, I'd need a new de-capping pin mechanism. The nice gentleman, told me he'd send one right out , and according to my e-mail he did just that at no charge. Now that to me is customer service with a smile, I've been used to that by RCBS, as the majority of my reloading equipment is RCBS including the dies and the replaceable de-capping pins, and have been receiving excellent customer service by RCBS as well, but then again there dies are at least twice the price of Lee, as well as the three RCBS presses progressives, as well as the old Rock Chucker, and and old RCBS R-5.

the de-capping pin was broken.

+1 on Lee Precision. I tend to break the little plastic arm on their primer trough. There are other wear-out items on the Loadmaster that I order from their website. They usually send individual pieces for the price of postage.

They recently (within the last few years) added links to parts for their various systems. Really helps in finding the right gizmo.

Years ago Lee never sent out parts without charging. I'm guessing they learned that a little kindness goes a long way for customer loyalty. They have sent me several parts for repairs and didn't even charge shipping. I like Lee, RCBS and Dillon because of their CS. Never had to use Hornady's CS yet so I can't comment on them. Lyman on the other hand is a different story. Not so much!

Another happy Lee customer here , just recently broke a piece of my bench primer . I emailed asking how to purchase the part , it was in the mail same day free of charge . Can't beat that.

This must be a new thing for them. I broke the pin in my universal depriming die and reached out to them for help. By the time that I mailed the broken part to them and paid the shipping on the "free" replacement the cost was about equal to what I paid at Midway for 3 of them.

Not meaning to inject negativity into this thread. Its good to hear that everyone is getting better service from them.

Rule 3 Not really, I've always (the last two cans) used the "One Shot" spray lube, and even shot a short spray up into the sizing die before each use. Even used the RCBS stuck die tool to eventually get the stuck case removed. The stuck case didn't happen until around the 25TH casing, as the other's all went very smooth, and they were Norma twice fired cases using a reduced load, in my Carcano, Cavalry Carbine, which is in excellent condition.

I was kidding, Lee pins are the toughest around they are actually modified roller bearings.
Did you follow the LEE instructions for remove a stuck bullet??

Rule 3, reckon I learn something new every day. I used the RCBS "Stuck case remover", where I had to invert the case in the press etc., do appreciate the lesson though, the Lee precision die is the first time I ever got a stuck case in my press, and it should have been a breeze to remove, probably would have saved the de-capping pin.

Lee has great customer service. I called once to try to buy another nut and the decapping mechanism that I ruined while getting a stuck case out. I explained to them that it was outside of the stated warranty and I broke it on my own. I explained I wanted to buy one. They refused to let me pay and sent one out free.

Lee just offers an extreme value in the reloading world and backs it up with exceptional customer service.

I've honestly had way better CS from Lee than I have from RCBS. The last few times I've tried to deal with RCBS it's turned into a nightmare.
