CVA Optima .50 Muzzleloader Scope Recommendations

I just bought me a CVA Optima in-line muzzleloader for next year's deer season. I got the nickel finish with Hardwoods Green camo stock and forearm.

I wanna put a scope on it and since it is my first muzzleloader I'm not sure what works best.

I've been eyeing the Nikon Omega BDC and the Bushnell Trophy DOA 250. I'm not sure how I would like the bullet drop compensator reticle on these as I am used to a duplex reticele.

What would you guys recommend on this muzzleloader?
I'm thinking I want a variable 3-9 power.

Also, does anyone have any experience with bases and rings for this inline?

I believe the Nikon Omega would be a very good choice, as well as either the Nikon Team Primos or the Vortex Viper 2-7X32.

I have a Bushnell Trophy on my .50cal muzzleloader, and will be upgrading to the Primos or Viper by next fall.

Oh, and I have a Traditions Pursuit Pro, so have no experience with the CVA, although I think they are both barreled/produced by Ardesa in Spain.

I have a Savage .50 cal with a Burris fullfield II 3x9x40. It has the ballistic plex reticle. This scope is very rugged and dependable. It has been knocked off the bench and still held it zero.( about 3ft) After i zeroed the scope i haven't touched it since, and that was 4 years ago. I highly recommend this scope. If you look around you can find them on sale for about 160-170.00$

how far are you shooting? A 9x, when your longest shot is 75 yards, would be overkill but would be good for 300 yard shooting. I have a bushnell trophy 1.75-4x32 on mine. I will be using weaver bases, probably millet rings. I have the same setup, weaver bases and millet rings, on the .308 barrel. I haven't had a chance to test them yet.
