CVA Scout V2

Read a short article about the CVA Scout single shot pistol. Looks like an encore, but about half the price. They come in only a few calibers--357mag, 44mag ,300 blackout, 243 and I understand soon to be 223 rem. The article I read in Handgunners mag. was very positive on the guns quality and accuracy, and was pleased with it's performance especially at this price point. Anyone out there have one or any experience with one ? I may look into one for whitetail this coming season.

I just read the same article in the Handgunner mag. It looks interesting to me as well. I wonder where they are imported from. It mentions that I the article.

I believe they are imported from Spain.

Not much information or reviews that I can find. Cabelas has them starting around $380.00. If made available in .223 I would be interested.

I think I'd wait to see reviews in reputable magazines. There's not much point in a .223 that won't shoot minute-of-angle.

CVA Scout single shot pistol

I'm looking into the CVA Scout single shot pistol for whitetail this coming year. I thought these pistols were buy one caliber (44 mag,243,357mag etc) and that's all you get. But the adds talk of models with or without the interchangeable barrel system. OK----_-_Does this mean if you get one with the interchangeable barrel capability, that you can purchase different caliber barrels for the same frame like a contender or encore?? Anyone out there know?

Ok -- I need to know before I buy. Does the CVA SCOUT pistol have interchangeability on barells? I have one on hold at a LGS. We removed the forend and there is a pin just like the tc contender and encore for barell removal but I'm reading elsewhere that they are set up for barell replacement not interchangeable to different calibers. Can anyone out there clear this up before I depart with the $$. ?

Barrels aren't interchangeable. Got to play with one in 234Win for an afternoon last fall. it shot within a few thousandths of inch groups(3 shot) using factory ammo with a 2-7 Burris scope. I was impressed with it for the price .
