Just in case anyone had any doubts about Cylinder & Slide, or wondered what their customer service would be like, a little story.

I was looking for two blue Colt polymer arched mainspring housings. They are out of stock, out of production everywhere. At least the places that I look for parts. So, I see they have some at Cylinder & Slide. OK, I order two. The package shows up with two flat mainspring housings. OOPs. So, I send them an Email asking them to fix it for me. This is their response:

“We did send you the wrong parts the part numbers on our bags were messed up. Anyways we only have one of the arched ones but we are going to send you the one and with a return label. We are going to refund your money and just give you this arched one.

Thanks,”


So, not only did they refund my card for the parts mix up, they gave me the one arched mainspring housing they did have for free. Pretty Sweet.
 
This is what reputable businesses do. Kudos to them.
And a ^5 to you, sounds like you lucked onto a good company to do business with. Thanks for letting us know.
Too true.
Good for them.... Good for us.... Sad that responses from businesses such as these stand out from *the norm* these days.
On a positive note, I in fact DO see it veering back to the better in general.
