Hi All
Are there any clones or copy's of the Cz75 Compact that are currently available? Looking for something decent that doesn't cost an arm and leg to get.

Thanks
WB

I think I have read that the Tristar compacts are no longer being imported. There are lots of used ones around though. Tanfoglio also made great clones that were imported by E.A.A. as Witness pistols.
Are you looking for metal frame pistols only? The current production CZ P-07 is a great hammer fired compact gun, in a polymer frame.
I just bought a used CZ P-01 Omega for $565 at a gun store. Used ones are out there.
I should add, SarUSA has some CZ clones. They generally are well made but I can say from experience, their customer service is not reliable.

I paid $350 for my CZ75D compact about 5 years ago. I never liked it, the dimensions are all wrong for my x-large hands. My girlfriend liked it a lot so I cave it to here. She is very happy with it.

Around here $500 is the upper end of the price range with most used ones being offered for around $400.

The TriStar/Canik versions are nearly identical to the CZ

If you're okay with deviating slightly, then the Sarsilmaz clones are great budget options in the polymer framed versions, the B6p compact. Very similar to the tanfoglio EAA witness

The tanfoglio, EAA, SarUsa, are not clones of the CZ 75. No to little parts interchange, IMO that's not a clone.
The canik/Tristar was very close to being a full on clone, but those ended years ago and now used market only.

Most of EAA stuff is around 350, buy that genuine CZ compact for 500. I wouldn't consider a difference of 150 bucks an arm and a leg.

I've owned two of the little SAR polymer CZ75 compact clones. They were less than $250 apiece when I bought them a few years ago. Don't know how much they cost now. When I traded the first one towards an N-frame, I replaced it within a month or two. I've had this one for a couple of years. It's been accurate and reliable. I prefer the CZ layout, so It's my "road trip" pistol in preference to my smaller Glocks and so forth.

I have found the CZ P07 to be a well designed and made 9mm. semi-auto with a couple of neat features like being able to change it from having a decocker set-up to a frame mounted thumb safety, allowing it to be carried in Condition One. Best part about it is that it's a do-it-yourself kind of deal and CZ supplies all the parts you need to swap them out!

Another nice plus for the P07 is that there's a really nice factory .22 conversion kit available for it that is super easy to install and use!

One thing to note is that if you want a frame mounted decocker then CZ is your only option. There are a lot of clones with frame mounted safeties and a couple with slide mounted decockers though.

Tanfoglio makes an all steel CZ 75B Compact clone. It is called Tanfoglio Combat Compact ; the F variant has the frame thumb safety; the R variant has the slide decocker.

A polymer model is also available, F and R variant, picatinny rail or not:

I've been a fan of various Tanfoglio products over the years. The Combat Compact F variant looks okay, the rest, meh. I've handled a few of the SAR pistols (haven't shot any), they seem nicely constructed, but don't really capture the classic CZ-75 lines. But I doubt you'd save that much over just buying a CZ-75 C or PCR used (or even new).

I picked this one up for $509.

The plastic frame versions are difficult to carry cocked and locked. The safety is pretty stiff, and I'm pretty sure it's a function of the friction increase from the frame material. Also, the frame is thicker just above your strong hand thumb. Just something to keep in mind, it may mean absolutely nothing to you.

The Tanfoglios are copies, not clones, of CZ. Also, make sure you are okay with the difference in frame size. They used to have small and large frame versions. The small frame are similar to the CZ-75 size, while the large frame are similar to the CZ-97 size. The Sarsilmaz seems to be a clone of the Tanfoglio design, and I think some of the parts do interchange. I'm not sure if Sarsilmaz has both large and small frame sizes.

Some say that one brand is better than others. I like them all :D

I just was watching a P9 on GB but it was a 40S&W one not a 9mm.

Steel frame gun that looks like a standard Cz75 compact is what I am looking for. Most likely I will have to look to the used market as there seems to be now bringing them in any more. The Canik would be great but that ships seems to have sailed. For the price of most of the used clone/ copies I can find I would be better off to wait a bit and get the real deal Cz.
