Do any of you have one of the CZ 83 pistols? A local dealer has two with the 15 rd. magazines. Asking $389, I may be able to get that lower.

Cruiseron,
I have one on .380 which is much more common. Also made in 9mm Mak. Very nice gun. Some folks fault it for being a bit large for what it shoots. This would really be the case in .32. Unless you really want a .32 I'd look for one of the others. Your price seems a bit high although they seem to be creeping up there. The high cap mags use to be quite expensive but I haven'y priced them since the ban ended.

I have one in 380. It is heavy. It is also easy to hide, rock solid reliable, very accurate and has the best DA trigger I have ever encountered. The 380 version goes for about $350 here.

Very nice guns. Rock-solid reliable. Attractive. Well-made. Nice triggers. Comfortable. But that's one heck of a big gun to use when shooting a .32...

If you're just plinking at the range, a comparably priced .22 is cheaper to shoot and probably at least as accurate. The .32 round is not cheap -- more than 9mm, usually.

If you're doing concealed carry, a few bucks more will get you a 9mm that is no larger, and with far more rounds. And a bunch more "stopping power."

The gun itself is a cadillac...............Shoot well.

My thoughts exactly! I have two Makarov's. The CZ 83 design is based on the Makarov, it is the same size as the Makarov. I also have a Star BM in 9mm and a Star PD in 45 cal. You can gather from that, that I like steel and do not mind the weight. I use all for CCW. The CZ 83 would just be that "must have toy" Your right, I need to get that price down.

The pistols are great, the price is steep, and finding spare magazines will be tricky. CZ-USA maybe??
I would probably buy one.

I've got one, and it's a HOOT! My 7.65 Browning is very accurate, and gets the most out of the cartridge. Ammo isn't too expensive. I shoot Sellier & Bellot from Natchez at $6.50 a box. S&B is Czech made ammo, so it's a natural choice. Recoil is very low. Rimlock is a concern, but I've only experienced that problem when hand hunloading the magazine.

You can order the round trigger guard from CZ-USA for about $60, if the one you buy has the squared on.
