Anyone own a cz-83 in 380 if so what do you guys think of it is it reliable and durable, also how many rounds thru it?

I own a CZ-83 in .380 ACP (nickel finish). So far I've put about 650 rounds thru it without a hitch. I've shot Remington, S&B, Winchester, and Federal ammo without any problen. The gun is built like a tank and fits my hand very well. It's all steel so it's a little weighty but (to me) it's not bad. IMHO, it is much better made than the Bersa and Makarov and has a better trigger but YMMV. The only problem I've had is keeping my big thumb out of the way of the slide. I have yet to find a CZ I didn't like. Good luck.:)

KY Larry were did u get yours i'm having problems finding them locally and aroud what was the price of it.

mastinson, I got mine at Bud's Gun Shop in Lexington
490 New Circle Rd. NE
Lexington,Ky. 40505
Phone # (859) 389-8831
I paid Approx. $300.00. Can't find my receipt. They're a good bunch to do business with. Good luck.

Well, Ive had 3 of them and you cant go wrong with them. One of the nicest guns available in a blowback design. GREAT TRIGGERS, sights, accuracy and as reliable as a brick.............Get one...youll love it.

Shoot well.

Bought mine in Jan 03 and put 200 rds through it every month so that'd be 2400 rounds of ball mostly. Did put 200 rds of CorBon JHP through it since the fast little suckers would be what I'd use if I hadta (still carrying the G26 with CorBons).
Trigger is niiiiice.
It isn't really whatcha call small.
It IS Accurate.
It was inexpensive ($239+ tax +Brady Call)
Feeding it isn't really cheap, but it doesn't break the monthly bank either.

Still looking for the elusive hi-cap magazines at gunshows.
One of these days, I'll pony up for a holster by Eric and see if Hakan makes some purty grip panelss for it... simple and birch I think.

The lady's love shooting it for some reason. I like that. Keeps them away from my baby Glock which they also like.

CZ 83

I had one in 380 and really liked it. It was very accurate and had one of the best out of the box triggers I have seen. It shot perfect for me. I only sold it because I needed to make room in the safe for other guns. If you are looking for a full sized 380 or 9x18 the CZ 83 is hard to beat. They are great guns.

Good luck to you.

I have had my CZ 83 Duo for about two years.

I'm just not a shot counter but I have put a bunch of different kinds of ammo throught it without ever having had any problems. Just as realiable and accurate as can be. While it is not my primary carry gun I do, from time to time, carry it concealed in a #1 FIST IWB holster. I just can't tell you what a sweet combination that is. Good shooting;)
