CZ P-01 vs. G19...

The CZ is certainly pretty, and they're both fine pistols, but I like being able to replace any part by myself in a few minutes with a single tool, so I'd go with the Glock.

If the Cz is a great buy I would get it. Glocks are very common and you will likely be able to find a good buy on a G19 later if you still want one.

If it is a range gun I would not worry about extra weight. For a range gun I often like a bigger/heavier pistol, they are easier to shoot well, although a G19 is pretty easy to shoot as well.
As I stated I can't legally carry, legally. So, my range gun needs to be somewhat light and compact.

A couple of more days and I can get her out of the California 10 day jail!

I HAD a glock 17
I HAVE a CZ 75B
and i love my cz.
you can get CT grips for the po-1, and it is a simply beautiful gun.
i would go with the CZ.

Bangkok, why would not being able to carry mean you need a light gun for the range? If that is what you want then its fine, but I just can't really think of how the gun being small and light would make any difference at the range. My P-01 really doesn't feel much heavier than my Walther PPS when they are unloaded. I don't have a Glock but I'd imagine you won't feel much of a weight difference between them. I love my P-01, and as Soda monkey said the Crimson Trace grips make it even better.

I wish I could say the same, but I have had three differant Glocks fail in my hand.

You must be the unluckiest man in history. Please don't come anywhere near me. I'm afraid it will rub off :D

I enjoy my P-01. The ergonomics are FANTASTIC, no other pistol ever felt that good in my hand. It's dead reliable, plenty accurate, looks nice. Then there's the trigger. Lots of slop, long pull. But that's why we have gunsmiths.

A comparison with the Glock 19 is very fair -- in the same caliber, dimensions, price range. Both serve certain police and (para)military organizations. As you know, the P-01 sees police and military duty in Europe. I'm sure those lads are happy with theirs. Our lads are happy with their Glocks.

Both are worthy of owning if one wants top value 9mm semiauto pistols.

After many rounds through both a Glock 26 and a CZ 100, I think I'm about ready to go back to hammer fired pistols, like my 3rd-gen Smith and Walther P-1. I surely like the CZ offerings.

I have CZ PCR and P-01 and every once I'm a while I suffer from the urge to sell my CZ's and move to something else.

Well yesterday I went to the range and rented a Glock 19 and S&W M&P-9 and shot a box of ammo through each.

With the Glock I see now the grip angle \ pointing concern that people mention. The grip seemed really thin compared to my CZ's.

The S&W M&P. I shot this gun better than the Glock and my CZ's. Same feeling that the grip was small. I couldn't try it with different backstraps.

My CZ's for me fit so nicely in my hand. Especially with the rubber grips. I liked the way my thumb naturally placed itself under the slide release and decocker. On the other guns I found myself paying more attention to where both my thumbs were.

Less than 24 hours until I can pick her up from our ten day jail! Tomorrow is Christmas!:)

I finally have her. Very sexy handgun indeed. Now, I need to get her to the range and see how she does there!:)
