Not really but I don't think its a conicedence that they "just happened" to send me their brand new 2008 catolog right before tax time.b the more I look at that 97B the more I like it
 
You know I don't recall seeing the Phantom in there. Then again, I don't recall much of any thing except that 97 B . Oh, and I recall that stainless 75B (gotta love that gun porn) ETA I went back and looked the SP01 is now availble in .40S&W the P01/P06 has been redesigned (also available in .40 ) they introduced a 97 BD ( still just want the B) & the 83 is now available in 9mm nothing called a "Phantom"
 
The 97 B is a great .45. I owned two of them, and got rid of them for practical reasons. They're just too big and heavy...
 
I'll agree it's EEEEEEvil that they haven't made a stainless 97b (edit: whoops typo, meant 75b) chambered for .40 S&W yet <sigh>.

I'm curious, what did they do to redesign the P-01? Also, other than a 97BD, did they redesign the 97 series at all?
 
The Phantom is the poymer framed SP-01. There is a PDF from CZ floating around online with details. I heard early 2008 in the United States, but who knows.

They have made a stainless .40 cal 97B it's called the 75

Corrected my mistype earlier. I meant to say I wished they'd make a Stainless 75b in .40 S&W. They don't, the only stainless is 9mm so I bought a "satin nickel" one as the closest I'm gonna get.

Still would like an actual Stainless .40
 
Got myself a CZ75b in 40 S&W (DA/SA), caught myself lusting at a new CZ75b (40 S&W) in SA only. Found it very hard to leave the store without it, will probably lay awake at nights thinking about my dumb decision at not buying it. Oh well I guess I can go back and get it in a couple of weeks.
 
I have medium sized hands, and the 97B fits me okay. I even shoot better with it left handed (my weak hand) than my 1911's.

Wouldn't want to carry it all day though!

Great pistol...get it!

Same thing happened to me. I received the new catalog today in the mail. A few new models in the catalog that I wasn't expecting to be made....
