I am looking for scope ring suggestions. Quality is more important than price in this case.

I have a CZ452 Silhouette model that apparently has an 11mm flat-top integral rail. I want to mount a 30mm tube Mueller APT All Purpose Tactical 4.5-14x40mm AO on it.

I have seen some info that leads me to suspect that the Leupold #51037 "Sako" 30mm high rings could be suitable.

(I can source the Leupold #51037 despite B&H saying they are discontinued).

Can someone confirm this product lead, or suggest something of comparable quality that would work for this application?

Thanks

Spoke to the wonderful tech support folks at Brownells.

They tell me the 51037 won't work for my application, the Sako 11mm rail is apparently different from the CZ 11mm rail. Ouch!

They don't carry them, but they suggested this BKL 30mm ring product:

BKL-300-MB - BKL-300 0.6" Long Dovetail Rings - Matte Black

Bottom of Mount to bottom of Scope Tube: 0.979"

FAQ:

Will BKL scope mounts fit 11mm (European Receivers) and 3/8" dovetails?
Yes. Each BKL scope mount clamping system will fit both 11mm and 3/8" receivers.

Did I mention how nice the Brownell's folks are? :)

You can get a 11mm --> picatinny rail adapter. I have one, it works pretty well. It will block the irons - not sure if that is an issue.

No irons in the Silhouette model. Not a bad suggestion, but I didn't run across an adapter in the places I initially looked.

I think BKL makes one. (They weren't on my radar before)

BKL-300 is what I have on my .22LR, 452 American. The same on my granddaughters youth .22LR Savage only in the BKL-200. High quality, light wt aluminum at favorable price.

The adapter is an interesting idea, which means I could use my favourite Leupold QRW rings in a 30mm flavour.

BKL also makes various 11mm to Weaver adapters. Since I'm not dealing with a red dot sight, my instinct is to go with the split set (BKL-566). BKL has existing Canadian distribution, which avoids US vendors and their fear of US-ITAR controlled exports gumming up the works.

I took delivery on BKL 566 product. The BKL 566 units are too large for my CZ452 Silhouette model integral rail, despite claims to the contrary.

My project is evolving, I may switch to a 1" tube optic, which would permit me to use the existing Leupold rings I have now.

I had a bitch of a time getting a Nikon Monarch on a 527. The almost proprietary rails, along with the bolt clearance make it a pain. I just about went nuts trying to get rings to mount the scope I wanted.

The conversion rail is a nice path, and it may keep you from having to worry too much about reusing weaver style rings. And there is a much wider array of weaver rings, in a very wide range of quality, colors, etc. YMMV.
