Which would you get and why?

Price difference between them is $90

You have no 9mm, and no .38 supers and no 1911's you basically have one Ruger.22...and a .40 from taurus

WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? CZ75SA or RIA .38 Super

CZ-75SA is awesome gun and you may find it for less money, than you did. But even at that price difference in ammo cost will compensate the difference in price tags.

I love the 38 Super. The problem is that Ammo is very high for the 38 and 9mm would be cheaper and easier to find.
Otherwise Save up and get both !!!!!!

If you reload get the 9 first then the super.if you don't reload get the 9 start reloading and then buy the super:)

I am partial to CZs right now..the 75SA is an awesome gun..and simple to clean up to make it a super performer..

the RIA is pretty solid..but you will spend a bit to make it fantastic.

you should be able to find a new 75SA for $425 to $450.

I went with the RIA, but only because I've been thinking of them myself. If you end up with one, I'd like to hear what you think of it.
If you can order online, I know of a site that has em cheaper. 340 or 389 if you want it in nickel. Is it kool to post a link?

anyone else care to chime in?

the reason the prices are high because that is the OTD price here in california...

so the prices include, the transfer and shipping fees...

so which one i asked people and they say go with RIA idk i wish i can get both but i can't

My CZ75SA was $349. I've never owned a RIA but I can't imagine it being as reliable as the CZ. My SA has probably close to 20,000 rounds through it and it is still going strong.

I am biased towards CZ, but I wouldn't get an inexpensive .38 Super pistol without first determining how the cartridges headspace. My understanding is that you should avoid any design that does not headspace on the case mouth for accuracy reasons. (Someone else will no doubt expand on this.) At any rate, .38 Super is a no-go unless you reload, much like 10mm. Factory ammo is too expensive and really limited compared to the true potential of the cartridge.

A Witness Elite Match in .38 Super may be worth looking at if you like the CZ ergonomics and the chambering.

Go with the cz. I have a cz75sa and I use to have an armscor 45(RIA 45). The cz is a better gun. Also if you don't reload 38 super ammo is going to be expensive, more so than 45acp. Mark

As much as I wanted to vote RIA the ammo is too expensive and not as widely available. I'd go with the regular da/sa CZ myself though.

CZCZCZCZCZCZCZCZ!

YMMV

I love my CZ-97B and CZ-75D PCR, I plan on eventually adding either a fullsize 75 or maybe a steel frmaed Compact.

Cz 75sa

Same reasons as most above
Plus, you'll spend more time shooting it, than looking at it or talking about it.

I also forgot to mention something that eerw pointed out. The 75B SA is a better platform for a target or competition pistol in that less will have to be done to it to make it competitive.

Most people shooting .38 Super can afford to buy the higher end 1911s. This means there would be virtually no market for a heavily modified RIA if you wanted to sell the pistol.

The two guns point very differently so I'd find out which format points best before making a decision.

The CZ is the better made gun, but that goes out the window if you happen to point a 1911 more naturally since the RIA is just fine unless you plan on entering competition with it and shooting thousands of rounds a year with it.

Figure out which fits you better and go with that.
