A store over at the GunsAmerica site has several used czech police cz-75's for 320$ to $360. The guns were made from the late 80's to early '90's. Seems like a good price to me, but I don't know. They're a bit scratched up. To me, CZ is making great looking semi-autos (one of the few semi-autos I like the looks of.)

Anyone have any experience with these surplus guns? Were CZ's as great 20 years ago as they are now? I've never owned a CZ, but have heard nothing but good things about them.

I believe they are of similar quality, some people even prefer those to the newer cz's. The CZ 75 really is a great pistol, but keep in mind you can get a new one for around 460 if you shop right, save a little more and get a new one, or do whatever you want.

I bought one a while back. It consistently hit low for me out of the box. Other that that though the fit, finish, and function has been flawless. I think I just got an oddball there though, and aftermarket adjustable sights are available.

That said, I think if I had it to do over again I'd PROBABLY look at a newer CZ-75b model.

Still, good guns for the price.

PS - if anyone has extra mags and wants a gun, Wideners apparently has these CZ-75's for $275 without a mag.

Thanks for the input, guys. Didn't realize you could get a new one that cheaply. That'll mean I'll have to save a bit more, though.

I've got some thinking to do.

Bought my first cZ 75 in the early 1980s. Like it better than the more recent editions.
