I celebrated D-Day 65 Year Anniversary today. I took several WWII firearms to a clearing a couple miles from my house where people shoot. Remington Rand 1911A1, Springfield M1 Garand, Rockola M1 Carbine, Inland M1 Carbine, Savage 303 Enfield US marked. As usual on a weekend there were others there shooting and as I brought plenty of ammo I shared with anyone who wanted to try them. A group of young men thanked me and shook my hand afterwards and you could tell one couldn't wait to get home to tell his dad. He hadn't come with them because they were only shooting 22s. It was a good day.
