My dad loaded some 130 grain sierra game kings up for his rem 270 back in the 80s. That rifle got ruined by my bro who broke the stock and scope when he dropped it out of his tree stand. Last yr I found the box of reloads and have been putting them to work[emoji16]

4 critters and about 8 rounds left. He never would have thought they would be getting action by me in 2015 when he was rolling them in 1984.

Very cool. I have taken my last two eight points with my dad's 130 SGK handloads and my .270. I only have five left but I just prepped and primed 100 cases awaiting their SGK 130's. ;)

Great Post! Dad's reloads...don't get any better than that. Be nice if he recorded the load data somewhere and you could keep that family tradition going. Nice rifle and critters too!

Thanks guys. Yea I'm in the service and acquired that rem cdl as a gift from my Father and a great friend. It's now my go to rifle for everything.

All I want for Christmas is for Dad to teach me how to roll my own. He's got a book with the load data but I'm thinking about 140 grain sgk

First off on behalf of my family and I, we appreciate highly what you and your brother's in arms are doing to keep us safe. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, and please pass along a HUGE thanks to them as well.

My pop passed back in 87 and my mom last year. We all hunted together as I grew up. I pull out his ol '06 from time to time and haul it to the woods just to spend quality time with the memories. He started me hand loading when I was around 8 and I haven't let up since.

Make the time to spend with him when you get the chance, you will not regret it.

Thanks for the post. God Bless and have a great Christmas.
