Had the opportunity to visit the Daisy Museum in Rogers, Arkansas today. On a 4 day trip in the area, I picked up one of the tourist brochures and was alerted to it's proximity. Just wanted to drop in a "highly recommend" if you get in the area. $2.00 admission and about one hour of pure childhood bliss. I only wish they sold all their previous models there because there were a bunch I would have purchased. As it was, I came home with the Red Ryder engraved model that you can only get at the museum store.

What did I learn?

1) I learned that the guy who moved Daisy from Plymouth Michigan to Rogers, Cass Hough (I think that was the name), was instrumental in the development of the Lightning fighter in WWII and risked his life for his own design. Amazing story: Link here: http://legendsintheirowntime.com/LiTOT/Content/1944/P38_AN_4402_15-sec.html

2) I learned Daisy made a Buck Rogers-like ray gun, air gun at one time.

3) I learned that a Daisy 1894 that I lost years ago as a child, and often wonder what became of it, is one of the more collectible models. Rats!
