It's my 24th birthday on the 13th and I happen to have a good buddy helping me celebrate this weekend. Naturally we're either going to shoot, or drool over guns. I'd thought about renting a 10mm at bullet trap, or maybe going by military gun supply and pokin around...

So anybody have any sugguestions for gun related activities in the metroplex?

P.S. wokring on a budget so under 50$ would be great.

If you want to drool over guns and supplies, try visiting Sportsman's Warehouse in Lewisville. I was in there for my first visit about a month ago. Was impressed by the selection of firearms, reloading supplies and shooting accessories. And they had very good prices.

They are at I35 and Hebron Parkway in Lewisville. They're in the NE corner of that intersection, in the same corner as Target. Happy Birthday!

If you want to rent guns and use 'em to convert money into noise, The Bullet Trap in Plano has a pretty healthy rental case. If you want to look at general outdoor stuff, Bass Pro Shop is fun.

I want a room in my house to look like that back wall some day. They do have a great selection.

I love Bullet trap, but for variety, you might try Target Master in garland. They rent guns, too.

Singleton is torn up all around Ray's. I was there a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd be filing an insurance claim. Some of those potholes were big enough to have a name - that's what I get for being the onliest Texican that drives a car to Ray's.

Sneak up on it or take an SUV with aftermarket shocks.

There is a nice selection. McClellands in East Dallas stocks some upper end rifles and shotguns as well. If I'm ever in the market for a Blaser I'll likely be shuttling between McClelland's and Ray's.

The Beretta Gallery is unique in that it's the only gun store I'm aware of where prying one's wife from the premises can be a challenge.

For a really special treat go to Jackson's Armory at Snider Plaza. Close to SMU. They have to buzz you into the front door. When you get in you'll see why. Everything from pirate pistols to elephant guns. Real, not replicas. More old guns than I have ever seen in one place.

Have you thought about DFW Gun Range? I haven't been there in awhile, but they used to have fully automatic weapons for rent (I think they used to have the gun used in Scarface with Al Pacino...don't know if its still there).
