Insert your favorite expletive here:
As I was pouring the Unique from the measure back into the cannister, old fumble fingers Floyd knocked the cannister off the bench, spilling approximately 3 to 4 ounces of Unique to join the dust, dog hair and other detritus on the floor. Need less to say, I spent the next 5 minutes roundly castigating myself. At least it was a container that was 1/2 empty (now 3/4 empty)
Spent primers and a few stainless pins and some mangled overshot cards.
I hope your visit to the reloading room had a happier ending than mine.
Have a nice day

I once pulled a mostly full powder hopper off a Lee PPM, without shutting off the flow port.

I'm here to tell you that HS-6 comes out the bottom of that hopper FAST when it's just held out in open air.

Not a good day.
Feels wrong hitting the "like" button" for that..
I did the same with h110. Ball powder flows....

Been there.....but who's Ray, who got all the blame for Floyd's fumble fingers?;) Now that I'm approaching 73, everything fumbles....not just fingers. SOOOO annoying.....never had much patience with myself, but now? Nonexistent.

This is exactly why my cheap and crappy Eufy Roomba knockoff vac has paid for itself 10 times over. Spend the money on a Roomba for the house, but the Eufy is pure genius at picking up powder, primers, and tumble media.

BTDT!! But I just picked out the larger chunks of trash and kept using my Unique in my 38 and 44 Special handloads (yep, I'm a cheap old dog and hate losing anything!). Narry a problem or variation...

But I have been known to spend a half hour looking, on my hands and knees with a flashlight, for a single small pistol primer...

After reading about Vickers and his powder spill, it dawned on me of what I wanted to do on my loading bench for quite some time. I had the idea to put a Stainless Steel Tray under my Rock Chucker press and also under my Uniflow Powder Stand unit cause no matter how careful I am I always have powder on my reloading bench which I clean up with a pair of tweezers and takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Now, all I have to do is remove my press (2Bolts) and my powder measure stand (another two bolts) and pour the loose powder back into the container, NO DOG HAIR, DUST OR DEAD BUGS, JUST loose Powder. I looked on Ebay and a Stainless Steel Tray was going for 15 to 20 bucks and no free shipping. This box was full of trays, baskets, and dishes that cost me $2.33, think I got a deal, especially that now it won't take me 30 minutes to clean it all up. What I don't need goes to our local thrift store, Every county has a Surplus Store and all the stuff that the county no longer needs goes for real cheap, try to check out your County Surplus Department. Just do the research online, most all of them are posted. Great deals and cheap too!!!

This is what our county in California has to offer:

This should round up my spilt powder, don't you think?? A stainless steel tray under my loading equipment!! I have a picture but don't know how to download it to this forum. Will try again later.

Oh now....
That's not as bad as toppling a 200rd mec shot canister full of #8s onto the carpet and bursting.
Not long after that, my reloading operations moved to the shed.:D
Oh wow. That stuff doesn't vacuum up very well either. My oh my.

Mrs Thunkit would have given me the fish eye for a long, long time if I had done that.

Oh, I got the stink eye all right!:mad::fire::cuss:....
Actually it was Mrs Farmer that knocked it off the table. It is top heavy ya know...she replaced the area rug decades ago, but the vacuum still picks a few out of the cracks in the old pine flooring. *plink*

Yep! AA#2 flows out like water!
Add AA2700 to the list! Sigh... I once forgot to make sure the powder drain was fully closed on the Charge Master and I had a pile of 2700 on the bench in seconds. Luckily I keep it half way clean so I just used a brush and swept it back into the bottle.
