Well have called several of the mentioned custom shops with no luck. I will keep calling others till I find an answer. Coal dragger, I don't mind the cost of the gun. I have lost over twice that much cash in a bank envelope. If all else fails I will just buy another 357 supermag and use this frame as spare or send it off to be retro-fitted to the original caliber. It's only money.
At a minimum any gunsmith should be able to check the dimensions of the cylinders and bore to decide what caliber it might be. From there you can probably start sorting out what you've got.
