Dan Wesson Barrel Wrench

If you buy a used one, make sure that it is not stripped out. I bought one that was supposed to be good, and it would just turn when pressure was put on it.
I drilled two small holes in it, and then put two small pins in it, works fine now.
Actually, if you find a 22 barrel wrench, you can put tape (electrical, etc.) around the center until it fits in the 357 barrel. It works fine.
Also, make sure you get the wrench for your type of barrel. The early ones took a different type wrench.
Good Luck.

Barrel wrench

I bought a DW 22 sans wrench and had a friend who was a machinist whittle one out for me.

DW sells them, from rumors I hear, cheaper than you can buy them on eBay.

Call Dan Wesson (Genny) and order it direct from them. I did this about a year ago. I got it in less than a week. Cost about $35 with shipping as I recall. Included the .006” feeler gauge/shim and all required Allen wrenches. Great customer service from these folks.

If you’re looking for additional barrels, call DW. My SS 4” for my 715 came in a week (I was told 4-6 weeks as the barrels are made to order).

Take care,

I ended up calling them on Wed 1-3-2007 which i had not done earlier because they were not listed on the website. Ordered one for $42.00 + $3.00 shipping which is cheaper than used ones on ebay. DW is a little slow to ship as Genny said it would not ship til the following Tuesday. That is a little disappointing as I just purchased the gun used 12-27 and hoped to use to correct a problem with it this weekend. The person before me gapped it to a point where there is almost no gap. This causes leading when shot with cast slugs but I will live til next weekend - if I have to,I guess.

WOW, $45. shipped for the wrench is high.
Hell I've got a Dan Wesson Pistol Pac,I'm going to be putting
up for sale very soon.
The set is in .357,with2,4,6,8" barrels as well as a wrench.
The 2,4,8" barrels are with full under lug,6" is a target barrel.
All comes in the case, lost the belt buckle.

Worst case scenario you can always make one by grinding a 1/2 inch 3/8 drive socket into the appropriate shape. I did that a bunch of years ago when I needed one that day.
