dan wesson pointman .45 value

i found a dan wesson pointman .45 with extra large magwell, nice grip about 90% - 95%
It's ss and beautiful,although obviously used, I am not sure of what to look for in assessing its value , it has a rattle, and they want $550.00 for it it's got 1 mag and no box.

Say more about this rattle. It isn't the slide on the frame, or the barrel in the slide, is it?

I recently picked up a used Pointman for $735, and was thrilled to get it at that price. Granted, it looks practically new and is as tight as . . . well, you know. $550 sounds like a good price, rattle notwithstanding.

It sounded like it was coming from the front of the gun, it had ss guide rod, so it might have been that or the barrel, it either one serious?

plastic grip safety

I thought dw 's all had a metal grip safety, and the grip safety has wear on it, so I can assume it takes alot of use to put wear on a grip safety, it appears only cosmetic, but begs the question, how much do you have to shoot to have wear on it.
