Dan Wesson Pointman Bobtail 10mm

Can you get the Bobtail 10mm in full-sized 5" slide? I find the bobtail with the 4.25" bbl, but don't see it in 5". Thanks.

P.S. Also, why does the mag only hold 7 with a full-sized/standard grip? Some .45 acp mags hold 8, so a 10mm should hold 9, not 7, right?

Huh? You are about to cause a real stir if there really is a 10mm DW bobtail. I think that you are confusing 3 separate models.

DW only makes a .45ACP bobtail w/4.25in barrel called the Commander Classic Bobtail.

"Pointman Seven" is the name of their Govt.-size .45ACP based on the series 70 design.

The only 10mm I'm aware of is the DW Razorback. You can get it bobtailed quite easily if you want to . The magazine capacity is 8 rounds, not 7.

Dan wesson does indeed make a 10mm CBOB. AFAIK it is only available with the short barrel.

Dunno if it is in the 09 lineup, but it was around for all of 08.

Many gunsmiths will bobtail any gun you want. I liked my DW CBOB so much that I had a lightweight S&W bobtailed.

DW does not (as far as I have ever seen) bobtail anything other than the 4.25" guns.

As mentioned, Bob Serva, who used to run the DW shop pre-CZ, now has Fusion Firearms and will make just about anything you want to your specs. In 8-12 weeks they will will be finished with my longslide 10mm and I'll be able to report on their quality, although everything I have read points to it being top notch.
