Would like to know Date of Manufacture S&W Model 60 "No Dash" #ANS184X

I can't find the prefix of ANS in my Standard Catalong of S&W. S&W went to three letter prefix and 4 digit number in 80-83. Starting with 1980 with AAA-0000 the closest I can come to your number 1986 with AHC1687. Using that as a guide I would guess your gun was made between 1986 and 1987 which starts at AVB.
