My BIL Rick has a model 36 in .32 Winchester special serial # D2214X. I've found sites to date 336, and early Marlins, but nothing for the 36. Any help would be appreciated.

Blue Book: Model 36 - 3rd Variation: rifles have 'A' suffix, Deluxe rifle has 'ADL' suffix, Sporting Carbine has 'SC' suffix, and regular carbine has 'RC' suffix, small case 'c' prefix in 1946, and large 'D' prefix in 1947. Manufactured 1946-1947.

Yeah....

I dated a model once. Name was Marilyn, though - not Marlin.

She was a 36-24-36.

When it got right down to it, I just wasn't as taken with her as she was.

He let me put a few rounds through it. I'm not a big fan of aperture sights, but with the Williams on it the most apt description I can come up with is, "Laser beam o' deer death."
