The markings on the left side of barrel in front of receiver are XZ 82… was hoping someone could tell me what year it was made thanks
 
Hey Dog, good info... as the site data confirms my 742 as manufactured date of Jan. of 75... which correlates with when I bought it new Fall of 1975...
