We took the class together with my mom as well, so two women have joined the ranks. We got my daughter's small game license the same day she passed the class.

It's fun to see the next generation taking part.

Congrats for them!

The girlfriend and I will be getting them once NJ starts offering courses again in March. Until she came along, I was happy with just paper and clays.

Congratulations. My two oldest daughters got theirs this year. It is a great thing. Thanks for taking both of your ladies out. I hope they have fun and are successful.

I took my son when he was mine to take the two day course. I went ahead and signed up to take it with him(didn't need to because of my age) since I was going to stay there anyway.
MIT was a really good time and at nine he got a better score on the test at the end than some adults did!

Congrats, Candyman87 !

Ditto here. I actually did go through the whole course with Son2 and got my own Hunter's Safety Certificate, even though I was "grandfathered" in. Very profitable to do, even for we old timers. We sometimes forget how much we forget.

One advantage was that when he lost his card, I could provide his "number" since it was one less than mine and that made it easier for him to get a replacement from them.

Another advantage is that he can make jokes about getting his hunter certification even before his old man did. :D

Well, only by one number, but it's still true.

I took the class with my daughter too. I had taken it in a different state, so I didn't really need it either, but it's good to have a local card.

My mom was "grandmothered", but she wanted to take the class.

My son was taking driver's ed class during the hunter safety class, so he's got his learner's permit and has started driving. Lots of changes this year.
