Davis' anti-recall petition

Anybody know where I can get the text of the bogus petition that Gray Davis is circulating to confuse people who think they're signing the recall petition?

Davis' guys are going around having people sign petitions against the recall. They carry no weight except to show that people don't want the recall. Most of the people going out and getting the signatures are paid (I think Darrell Issa fronted the $$$), so Davis is trying to get all the professional petition gatherers on his side so the recallers can't hire people to do the leg work. Davis is trying to make it hard to collect the recall signatures. It actually pretty interesting watching the political strategery going on.

...Their statewide blitz began Memorial Day weekend, with an estimated 500 paid signature gatherers asking thousands of voters to sign petitions opposing "abuse of the recall process."...The anti-recall petitions have no legal standing and no ability to prevent a recall election should Issa and other proponents collect the nearly 900,000 signatures of voter support required to qualify for the ballot.

But the new campaign could have one significant effect: interfering with recall signature-gathering efforts by offering petition circulators better-paying work....

Davis ‘petition’ aims to counter recall backers

Signature sheets for the pro-Davis “petition†look just like a regular initiative or recall signature sheet. Pro-Davis workers often station themselves near anti-Davis carriers, who get 75 cents for every valid signature they turn in.

There were a couple of people on a local radio show today that said the professional petition gatherers in front of the grocery store were misrepresenting their petitions as school funding propositions. After actually reading the petition, the callers found that they were signing an anti-recall petition. Read what you put your signature too. John Hancock would expect no less.

John and Ken are a couple of radio hosts who are good guys and are following the recall effort in detail everyday between 3-7 pst. Send them an email about the CCW corruption in CA and lets get them to do a story. They don't quit till they win! These guys have been harassing congresspersons all month about why they don't want fleeing killers extradited out of Mexico for murders in the USA. Calling each individual member up live!

Considering how some folks vote, I don't think you've got much chance of this happening. I'm actually a bit surprised that some of these people are literate enough to sign their name. Counting above 21 is also out.


You know Davis is running scared of the Schwarzenegger threat, since I'm sure he'd get "terminated" at the polls. Ah-nuld is saying that he'll throw his hat into the ring based, partly, on the outcome of the recall.

You might want to listen to a little more from John and Ken. There not to apt to work up a sweat for us gun owners.

I've listened to them off and on for a decade or so and have heard them rant against gun owners many times.

Briefly though, he is a RINO republican and favors gun control, though probably less so than Davis or most demokRATS.
