"And there is no effective treatment for stupidity"

Sorry but I must respectfully disagree.

Death usually cures stupidity.
Very few dead people make such stupid mistakes.

The end of the story say's that the tv station didn't show the whole video because some scenes "showed the undercover agents face"

Why the hell was an Undercover agent doing a lecture in the first place?

This guy should be suspended for gross stupidity. Maybe things are different in Florida but when I teach a gun safety class ammo is never present and I don't refer to "gangsta rappers" in any way, manner, or form. They are not a good role model for anthing.

well, he did a good job of showing how stupid those types are! heh.

but really, this was a group of kids i don't think he's all that wrong for saying how dumb the rappers were etc. , he was trying to relate, and these were pretty young kids so not like he was handing them a gun first and putting the idea of 50cent whatever .

HA! ha that is a funny point you make though, i mean you get some people at a range, and before they start shooting, say all that stuff about ok this is the gun he used etc, probably not a very good idea. heheh

Mind you according to the story, he wasn't suspended because he shot himself, but becuase people found out about it.
That is the scary part of the story.

If you knew how slow the disciplinary system works in the federal government, you would know that for someone to be given a suspension a week after the video was shown would have been impossible. It normally takes anywhere from six months to a year from act to punishment, the same as with crimes, (because that pesky Constitution applies to both procedures).

Good plan: investigate who leaked the video. That way they won't have time to investigate why they're so poorly trained.

New definition of "undercover:" an agent about whom the agency would have attempted a cover-up if they'd been able.

I actually saw this exact scenario happen once, except it was a security guard at a grocery store. To this day, I have no idea what he thought he was doing.

It was a little after midnight, and I was at the checkout. He was talking to some friends, and he took the gun out and dropped the magazine. He was getting ready to hand it to his friend, and he said, "you just rack the slide and pull the trigger so it releases..."

BANG. Right into the floor. I braced for the ricochet, but it didn't happen. Everything stopped. I looked at the cashier, who was frozen, and I just left my stuff on the counter and walked out. The guy looked pretty scared.

This was a major chain-store, so I called the corporate office, and their response was, "yes, we've been having some problems with our security guards."

I'd say.

Ever walked around a big town and bumped into incompetent armed guards?

A few years back I was out grabbing a bite in midtown Manhattan. Two armored car personnel were exiting their truck carrying a bag of valuables with their inside hands. Their snubby .38's were drawn and held in their outside hands. I assumed the muzzles were angled down as they were being carried.

One of the muzzles of those .38's happend to cross me.

I should have complained to the cops and that guard's company for the glaring safety violation. Could have sued, too, if I wanted to.

Instead, I just gave her a dirty look and walked on.

:what: I never stick around when an armored truck is nearby. Never know when someone's going to try to pull off a robbery, and I don't want to be in the area when the bullets start flying. Especially with incompetent guards like the one you just described.

Something similar happened to me once when I was pulled over and told the officer I had a gun in the car and where it was. When he was unloading it, he had it pointed right at my knee :uhoh:
