Hello, wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with Dead Airs warranty recently. I was one of the “lucky” individuals to buy the sierra 5 when it first dropped, and not long after using it baffles completely crumbled and failed. Sent it off to get the warranty repair, and it’s now going on almost 2.5 months and I haven’t heard a word back. I’ve tried emailing a couple different times over the span of now 3 weeks with no response, phone lines have been down for 2+ weeks now. So figured I’d ask here and see if anyone has a recent wait time to ease the waiting game.

Sorry, I can't help with your warranty question.

Could you please shine some light on why the baffles crumbled and failed? They were selling that as a "hard use" item.

If you google “dead air sierra baffle failure” you will see a handful of people who shared the same experience. Was running my can between a 16” and 10.5” 5.56, nothin crazy. At about the 200 rd mark (not consecutive, over the span of about a month) when shooting on the 10.5 I noticed it got significantly louder. So I stopped and when I angled the gun down little pieces of metal started falling out, after removing all the baffles had shattered like glass inside. More people with these first run of cans experienced the same.

That sucks, I'd honestly go replicate your post in the suppressor forum on AR15.com. When my Nomad TI blew up I posted about it over there, and "Mageever", the lead engineer and partial owner of DA got involved, after that things sure seemed to speed up. 2.5 months after sending in a can with an obvious manufacturing defect, I'd be getting a bit irked.
