Places like Gunsite are way away from Southern KY where my wife and I live. Folks like us cannot afford to fly to Arizona and such exotic locales for training as we, a couple, would enjoy participating in. Is there a list somewhere "out there" we could look over to see what might be in a day's travel distance? I haven't found one yet.
Thanks. Don

After looking around myself, I would probably take a class from John Lovell, or Tactical Rifleman, or Pat Macnamara.

I’ve watched some of their videos on YouTube and all seem like competent, thoughtful instructors.

For reasons that are more to do with personality, I’d like to try one of John Lovell’s classes. I think he travels and holds classes - you’d have to check.

The only one I could vouch for personally would be Tactical Rifleman. The guy in charge was my company sergeant major at an SF Group and his training videos seem to very closely mirror the in-house courses I attended and observed as well as the occasions I was lucky enough to benefit from one-on-one instruction from various SF guys. That said, I have not attended the courses yet, but wouldn’t hesitate to do so when I see one I had time for. I want to say I saw coursed listed in KY. Park City?

Check with moderator taliv. He should be able to point to all the middle TN best choices.

Rangemaster in Memphis has an excellent reputation. For someone in Kentucky, it's a couple hundred miles farther than Nashville.

I used to go shoot with these guys when I was at Ft Campbell, and I took the CCW course from them back then too. Squared away guys.

Tactical Response fighting pistol course I thought was well worth it. I made the trip to Camden TN from KC and made time to see President Jackson's Hermitage estate while there.
