Del-Ton Upper

Has anybody ordered an upper from Del-Ton lately. Are these in stock? They don't indicate that they are sold out but I thought uppers have been hard to come by?

I ordered one from them over a month ago and haven't heard either way about stocking issues. As long as they don't charge me for nothing in return I guess I can't complain too much.

back in the day (6 months ago) if you ordered one from delton you could expect to see the upper on your doorstep within 2 weeks. If zing hasnt heard anything from them and it has been over a month...well...that might be saying something.

Very nice gear for the money, however.

When I bought mine I recieved it within 2 weeks. Their website now states to expect delivery in around 8weeks.

I ordered a rifle kit on 11/19/08. I hope to have it in february. I think there is still about 2000 orders ahead of me. Mark

Hey railroader, let me know when you get yours, I ordered right after you. I spoke to a nice lady on the phone about two weeks ago, and she said that orders were moving closer to 8 than 12 weeks... hopefully by February.

I got mine back in August. It was in my possession three days (two business days) after placing my order.

Right now, they are advertising a huge backorder, like everyone else. Thankfully they have not jacked up their prices; they're the same they were for me five months ago.

Same here as dispatch,....ordered tuesday on the truck the next day...actual status went from processing to shipped in 2 hours!

Just talked to them about my order (which I placed in November). They told me at least another month, most likely two.

I just got done calling all the soruces I know of... looks like 12-16 weeks is industry standard for uppers right now (at least in similar price range).

Their prices are right, so I'll wait it out. Maybe by spring.

ordered mine is august, got it 1.5 weeks later. my cousin ordered his m4 upper on 12/11 and still hasnt seen it yet. haha

My 20" flat top upper was worth the wait. Only a few rounds through it but flawless with that.

Console yourself with the knowledge that these backlogs indicate thousands of rifles getting into the hands of private citizens every month.

Just as a heads up to those waiting for Del-Ton products, I was told another 3 weeks from today. So, hopefully by mid April.

I placed an order about three weeks ago for a custom lightweight upper. I call their customer service today and was told it will be ready to ship in about 15-16 weeks. The person on the phone said they are just getting through November's orders now.

geez i ordered a 300 fireball upper two weeks ago and i was hoping they were almost caught up and i would see it in april/may. I guess that is just not going to be the case

Talked to them yesterday, they said May for sure. The rep said they had a bunch of back-ordered barrels come in... they'll get there.

I call once a month about the order I placed in december. 3 months running now they have told me it will take about a month, which means september?

I ordered an M4 kit on 12/8/08 and they just charged my credit card 2 days ago. Haven't gotten an email to say it's shipped yet, though. Hoping it will soon.

Yeah, I ordered a full kit about a month ago, I'm not expecting to get it until october, just my guess.

Kind of kicking myself now though... I think I could have scraped the parts together by now..

Parts are a problem across the industy. However, things should start speeding up soon.
