A very experienced friend might not have seen these, but has said in the past that a dented case should be safe to use.

Of course with about a dozen, the neck trimmer would not fit inside (manual insertion) but with most it fits and trims.

My powder loads are at the minimum and use only 147-grain bullets.
My reloading has been since last winter and consists only of .303, ,mostly Prvi .303, but I bought some old cases, mostly HXP (Greek) from somebody and these older cases are quite often dented Just Below The Shoulders:confused:, with a narrow, vertical indententation.

There are no other indications of flaws, and I have no idea why they are always in the same place on various cases, but won't even prime these unless it is considered safe to use them.
So far the only resizing, as recommended for longer .303 life, is neck-sizing.

As long as they are just "dents" and not creases in the brass they you should be okay reloading this brass. I have reloaded lots of brass that has minor dents and they tend to vanish after the first reloading to fire form the brass to a particular gun.

Thanks. Seem to have read that in previous months.

I just now read that at two other randomly-found sites on Google, although some discussions were about handgun rounds with dents on the necks, and not with a length of about 1/5" (or less), just below the shoulders.
Looking forward to buying more Prvi in the future.

Neck sizing is okay for brass that was fired in your gun. If it's range brass I recommend full length sizing for the first go-around.
