Picked up a DE 1911 last week on sale for $639. Didn't even go there with the intention (always that way!!). Anyway, fired it yesterday and it was fantastic. I'll replace the sights, but man did it shoot nice. Accurate. Had one case extraction problem out of 50 rounds. Just didn't quite clear. NP. I have a Colt Government, and I wouldn't trade it for the DE, but I have to say it fired right up there with my colt. Really nice gun. They did a nice job with these.

Ive read that kimber2 sights should work, but also read that they need to be filed down. Wish this gun would have come with at least a better front sight. Oh well. Put orange nail polish on mine. Still going to look for at least a hiviz. I do love this gun.
