I have a S&W M&P9 that I would like to detail strip, or more specifically take the sear out to polish it up a bit. Does anyone know of a website/video that illustrates this process well? I know how to do it to Glocks, I imagine it's similar, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something before I "operate."

It's not hard, just pay attention.

However, be extremely careful to retain the sear plunger and spring, located directly underneath the sear.

Google Dan Burwell M&P for a how-to.

+1 on M&P trigger job pdf on Dan Burwell's website. Although he discloses the M&P trigger pdf is not his doing, he's posted the pdf on his website so other M&P owners can share the information.

"As a note I did not write these directions they were emailed to me anonymously, after being contacted on a forum. So we all owe him or her a big thank you!"

I did the trigger job on my M&P45 based on the pdf and it lightened the trigger to about 4 lbs and significantly reduced the reset and improved the smoothness of the trigger. It has just about the best striker fired trigger I have shot over the years.

That Burwell PDF does seem to be the best. I've found a few grainy videos here and there but, that document has it laid out in the clearest, easy to follow manner.
