Kokapelli while that is disheartening one must also understand that there are in excess of 4,000 of these guns that have been produced but that forum has a very small number of registerd members.
Mine did have to go back to DB for a repair to replace a broken magazine release spring but other that that mine has been a pretty good pistol.

Mine also went back and still had problems when I got it back.

Yes DIAMONDBACK TALK is only a small representation of DB owners but it still represents what volume of problems are accruing amongst DB owners.

How could you take a better poll than polling a group of actual owners?

As I said I really liked the pistol but 73% failure rate is far greater than anything I have ever seen before and I'm not carrying a pistol that has that volume of problems.

Mine is back at the factory for the second time. I highly doubt it will be fixed... It's funny that people such as kokapelli, who were really defending this gun, have ABANDONED it! Are you paying attention DB? How are those "agencies" liking your product? LOL.

too many problems. man some of those threads scare me. happy with my LCP for a pocket gun -- it has functioned flawlessly since day 1, eats anything.

I had one of these and really liked it WHEN it worked. I had to go back to the factory twice for a broken trigger bar.:banghead: When I received it back the second time I never even took it out of the case until I got to my favorite gun store where I traded it in (with cash) for another 1911.:D

Buy the Taurus TCP and...

you will like it much better than a Diamondback DB380. A friend bought a Diamondback , not long ago and he could not shoot more than 150 rounds through it before something would break. It was sent back 3 times and finally got rid of it and bought the Taurus TCP. It is a new company with Design problems and poor quality control.

I replaced my Diamondback with a TCP and so far I like it, but IMO the DB was a better shooting pistol. If only it had been more reliable!

I do like the last round lock back on the TCP and it is not punishing to shoot like a lot of the other true pocket 380s.
