Cabela's has been carrying their line of SxS guns that were a continuation of the S&W SxS and the Kimber sidelock SxS. All have been excellent. If this gun is being made by those same folks, it should be decent enough at that price point.

cdnn has some wood stocked ones for a little more. $399 I believe. akus (dickinson) is also making the new SKB's. in fact, the dickinson 212's look a lot like the skb is300. I keep being tempted, but I think I would prefer a tristar viper.

That would all depend on your intended usage and the volume of shooting you'll do.

CZ's and Stoeger's used to be around this price point. they were just cheap enough to get people to try them.
