Anyone know what happened to them? I've been trying to find/contact 17 Design regarding some problems with two of their billet AR-15 uppers. But their webpage domain is now for sale by GoDaddy, and their Facebook page seems to have disappeared. I did see one comment from a supposed employee that he was laid off recently, but not much else other than a lawsuit by Penn Tool Co. against 17 Design over contract issues.

Sad. I liked their product. Now they're dust like my previous favorite, Sun Devil out of Phoenix. This trend doesn't bode well for Caverns Armory.

That is interesting. I have several of their lowers which I haven't built out yet because the sharp edges need some work first. Try contacting the guys at Primary Arms. They are still carrying 17 Design lowers, and when I left a less than positive product review about their lowers, a PA manager contacted me and said they would get the issue resolved because they worked pretty closely with 17D.

It had been my understanding that 17 Design had some military contracts for their AR receivers. Wonder if those went away. Good luck.

Got my little tech issues resolved through a short talk yesterday with a local gunsmith; so I really have nothing left to discuss with Primary Arms. I guess I'm just disappointed 17 Design went belly up. I do see Brownells has some of the 17Design AR180 lowers left, but probably not for very much longer.
