So I was looking at FN's website, and from the pictures they have up, and some of what they said, it sounds like they've made some changes to their FNP pistols. From what I can tell, it looks like they changed the decocking lever, repositioning it, and making it look way better. Also it seems that they changed the pattern on the frame in the grip area. They also said in their description that the magazine holds 17 rounds, when I thought that it held 16 rounds. So did FN revisit the design and fix some little problems? Are the old and new magazines interchangable? Are these new models available yet? Thanks.

Oh, also it seems that they redesigned the mag release, making it longer, and no longer a circle. Here's the link to FN's page. http://www.fnherstal.com/index.php?...3&categorySelector=5&detail=&cHash=3f8422c016

It wasn't problems they fixed, they just re-packaged it a little, sexed it up some, I could do without the forward serratioins but whatever.

I really like the FNP, and I expect to really like the glamorized FNP as well.

That looks like what they were calling FNX few weeks ago. I guess they just going to continue use FNP's name instead calling FNX.

Thats the version they've been selling in europe, fn usa still has the regular fnp on their website. FN is going to be releasing the fnp-17 in the us as the fnx.

I like this second version better, just from what I see on their site. I thought that the old controls looked like they had been made out of bent up wire.

Yeah the decocker on my FNP-9M definitely looks kind of crappy, but it doesn't stop it from being one of my favorite pistols along with my PCR (neck and neck) and my Glock 27 (slightly different but awesome, also neck and neck)

I like that they changed the decocker, the old one bugged me so much that it probably would have kept me from buying one. I think I'll have to pick up a new FNX down the road....

The FNP decocker does feel kind of cheap and flimsy, but I've never heard of one actually breaking, and I really like how the gun feels in my hand, so I'll probably buy one in the next week or two. I thought about waiting for the FNX but I can get an FNP online for less than $500 including the transfer fee, and the stores around here probably won't get the FNX for another 6 months if they get them at all.
