I was at the range earlier shooting my Kimbers and my Ciener 22lr converssion. I had the conversion on a Charles Daly frame. I paid 300 dollars for the Daly and sold the slide on this forum for $100. I paid $250 for the Ciener kit from Midway. That makes $450 that I had in the gun. A guy saw me shooting the Ciener and made a comment that he was amazed that it was so reliable with bulk ammo. He then asked how much I would take for it. I told him that I couldn't put a price on it. He then pelled out a 1911 and offered it as a trade. It is a full custom Colt slide on an Essex frame. It has an Ed Brown Beavertail and a Wilson barrel, also Novak rears and millet front. The slide to frame fit is more perfect than any custom I've seen. It glides like it's on ball bearings. I shot it and it shoots so accurate I couldn't believe it. It is one tight, well made 1911!
