Difference Springfield Sportmaster and M1A

Can someone tell me the differences between the Springfield Sportmaster and a M1A?

AFAIK the Sportmaster has a laminated stock, comes with a peep sight and has no flash hider. But will it work with M1A and M14 parts? Does the barrel, bolt, trigger fit into a Sportmaster/are they interchangeable?
