Hey everyone I have been reloading 9mm and recently started to reload 45 acp on my dillon 650. I have about 500 rounds under my belt. I wanted to ask about the ring that is left on my case after I resize/deprime on my press. I have not noticed it as much with 9mm. I have used lube as well as took apart the die. I soaked the die in brake cleaner and cleaned it with steel wool and a cue tip. I did not see any brass inside the die. It is a brand new die. I also adjusted the die at different depths and the ring around my case moved in height however it has not gone away. The rounds fit in the case gauge fine as well as chamber well at the range. I assume this is common when reloading 45? I believe it is just cosmetic but I was just wondering. Thanks for your input

What dies ? I use Dillon and get no ring. I just walked back and sized a couple just to make sure, yep, no ring.

Send it back to Dillon. I had issues with a .357SIG die scratching the crap out of my brass. Got an RMA number and shipped it back for repair. New die came back about a week later.
Send them some sample brass when you mail it back so they can see what's going on.
