Should be simple enough. But I have twisted on that large screw at the rear end of the bolt pretty good and it won't budge, even after soaking it on WD-40 overnight, which hints me I must be doing something wrong. Please, help!
You can't unscrew it because it is not a screw.
It is a plug held in by the pin in front of it.
The screw slot is just to aid dissembly.
Uncock the striker by turning the front section of the bolt to let the firing pin down.
Press in on the "plug" using a large screwdriver, and punch the cross-pin out that holds the bolt together.
The striker spring will still be under some tension.
Now, pull out the striker assembly.
The bolt sleeve can then be tapped off with a brass, nylon, or wood punch.
