Hello,
I recently purchased an IZHMASH Biathlon Basic and wanted to separate the "metal" from the "wood" so that I might refinish the stock. The manual with its multitude of caveats revealed nothing of use. An email to EAA generated a polite call us!
Okay, here it is:
0) Normal caveat, be sure the gun is empty ...
1) Stock up, barrel pointed away,
2) Remove the screw in the triggerguard --- which conceals one of the action screws,
3) Pull the triggerguard, up and towards youself,
4) Note that there is a tab on front of the triggerguard which needs to go in first when reassembling.
5) Undo both screws.
