It's probably, been mentioned already but I like some do, load for my handguns using a single stage press although slow use the original Chargemaster and have found that some, pistol powders will eat up the plastic hopper and even the green base of the CM. One I know for a fact, is Titegroup powder if left in the hopper for very long before draining and cleaning well. Such a shame too, because some of my most accurate pistol loads were with Titegroup powder. Just wanted to throw that out there for those who may not know this, I've never noticed any problems like this with rifle powders as of yet! :) Don't know about the new light version?

That is an interesting question. Being that everything is electronic, would it be possible to turn that feature off?

I don’t know because RCBS doesn’t give the owner any information on them.

I can say that I tried many “tunes” that are out there, that change various parameters and none seem to work as well as the ones that came in the ones I have from the factory. That said I know they have made at least 3 different Chargemaster 1500 variations, because I own two and have used a third. 9, 10 and 12 volt (no idea what other differences there are but from the outside they all look the same).

IF you go down the road of changing ANY parameter make sure you write the factory ones down first (I did in the manual) as there is no “reset” to default and as above you don’t have any clue as to what they actually control much less value/amount of change.
