Do we have a Constitutional Right to not have Universal Background Checks?

ConstitutionCowboy ...So, you do agree that some justices on the Court don't follow the Constitution.
I didn't say anything of the sort.

Imagine that! I've been right all along! ('Course I knew that already.)
Nope. Same nonsense. Same ignorance.

Seems like my 'fantasy world' isn't so fanciful after all -
Once again, you have no grasp of reality.

unless, of course, you can show me where in the Constitution the Court has been granted power to use foreign law, or legislate from the bench, etc.
Where? Try Article III

Once again you don't exhibit the slightest understanding of what the USSC actually does. The only way the USSC can affect legislation is by court challenge.........they don't just sit and wait around and say "Hey! lets reverse us some legislation!". If a law is passed by Congress, signed by the President and is challenged...........then and only then would a federal court get to hear the case.

Ah, but since there is no such thing, you'll just ignore me.
Doubtful.

I'll keep my user name as it is. Someone needs to ride herd for the Constitution.
True, but sadly, you riding herd on the Constitution is like a seven year old managing a nuclear power plant. You both would have no idea what you are doing.

Sorry, but your argument is illogical. No one claims that the USSC has the power to change the Constitution........so where did you get that idea?
The USSC DOES have the power to decide if legislation is constitutional. If you disagree then provide a citation that proves otherwise.

I see your one of those guys that likes to argue points that no one is making or contradicting.

Haven't actually read that ol' Constitution have ya?

Meh.
Funny how people view the evil Supreme Court........we love them when they ruled on Heller and Thompson Center, yet accuse them of abusing their power when we disagree with their decisions.

Welcome to Planet Earth, home of humans.

This is nonsensical. Do you even know how the USSC writes decisions? What do you mean by "tweak the Constitution"? Derp...this post is full of it.

What an insightful response. I posted to discuss how one branch of government has deviated from its original parameters. Is your need to hurl insults because you feel your esteemed reputation is threatened by thoughtful discussion with us dumb commonfolk?

Ride herd for the Constitution? Are you SERIOUS? This is the most fulsome, arrogant, nonsense.

I've asked you repeatedly how you think you are "follow[ing] the strict constitution" as you don't have the power to decide Constitutional cases and write or strike down laws which conflict with your decisions.

You have NO answer. You "follow" it by pontificating with blasts of wind from your nethers, nothing -- not a thing -- more than that.

Now you claim to "ride herd" for it. Good Lord.

Enough of this silly charade. Go waste your windy breath elsewhere.
