Very silly question Comrade.
Why need carry here.
In New Jersey narrowly tailored gun laws passed by Glorious Legislature eliminate all crime in Socialist Workers Paradise.
Reactionary talk 2nd Amendment means what say definitely Anti-Revolutionary proganda.
Violent places like Utah, Montana and Vermont with bitter people clinging to religion need gun.
In New Jersey not need symbol of running dog followers of U.S. Constitution..

That is a win LOL

Yes but when the risk of legal action is a FELONY I say it's not worth it. Once convicted of a felony you are no longer allowed to posess a firearm.

Tell that to Suzanna Hupp.......Just sayin.

Me, I don't carry at work because I don't want to get fired. I don't carry anywhere I can't legally do so, these decisions have gotten some people killed before, and the opposite decisions has gotten some people a felony record. It's a gamble either way.

Assuming I'm legal and not at work then I'm carrying.

I carry at all times, as long as it's legal to do so. I'm going into federal law enforcement, and when I do I'll be carrying literally all the time.

I don't normally carry at all. I'm 18, yet I'm younger than I look, so I get a lot of stares. Plus, in my area, I'm liable to be stopped by the police simply because nobody here OC's guns. I'm also too young for a CCW or a handgun. It's intimidating to walk around with an 11 pound rifle from the second world war on your back.

Deepsouth,
don't get me wrong, I'm all for carrying wherever I can. It varies from state to state i know, but here in SC carrying in a business that does not allow CW is a misdemeanor, and I would and have risked that, carrying at a school or federal building is a Felony and I have not chanced that.

If i'm in my truck I always have a rifle and maybe a handgun. At home somethings always near by. Sometimes I will cc, especially if i'm in an area where I feel uncomfortable. I don't have a permit but I don't think my current habits would change if I did. If my state had open carry I would carry everyday.

I carry everywhere I am legally able to do so. I look at my firearm as a safety device. just like a seatbelt ... you use it (carry it) regardless of if you think you may, or may not need it. I carry in alleged good parts of town and bad parts of town. because you just never know . because of the nature of my job (LEO) and the state I live in, I can carry virtually anywhere without issue, and do so.

I carry when leaving the house to take the trash to the curb. Granted, it's usually only a .38 SW, but I'd rather have it and not need it...

-Mark.

I carry everywhere unless I'm legally prohibited from doing so.

Same here. Literally everywhere!

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety"- Benjamin Franklin

I also carry everwhere that i can legaly outside my home and avoid the places in can't as much as possible. Feels very odd not to have a handgun when I can't carry. Been a habit for so long my wife even noted some years back that I get my pistol before my shoes.

I carry everywhere unless it is a prohibited zone.
The only exception is work and that's because of the type of work I do(building maintenance) any handgun is going to eventually be uncomfortable and has a great chance of being detected during many aspects of my work.
My company does not have a firearms restrictions policy at all.

Everywhere, all the time. The only exceptions being in the house, though a gun is always readily available, and the secure areas of airports.

I carry everywhere I legally can. It's become a habit like carrying a wallet or pocket knife. As others have pointed out, you never know when you'll need it.

Yes, All the time.

Understand Virginia is a gun friendly state, We can carry in places that serve alcohol, just cant drink, no guns signs, hey, concealed means concealed, if discovered, and asked to leave you must, so dont shop there. I am retired so work is not a problem. When I worked it was close.

It is nobodys business, not open for discussion, "Because I can" end of discussion. Period. Amem.

Then again I dont blab it either. Got some friends and relatives dont even know.

I carry pretty much everywhere. A few new friends found out I carried and it began a really good conversation with them. Now they want to know more about firearms and carrying.

Seems like a lot of people place the gun ahead of the person. The media certainly does.

Tell them you're living your life, going where you want or need to go. As you go about your life, you wear a watch to tell time, carry a phone to communicate, carry a gun for security.

Placing the gun or any object ahead of the person leads to illogical lines of reasoning.

That is an excellent way to look at it.

I carry everywhere that I legally can, everyday. Some days that means my carry gun spends more time locked in the truck than on my hip during the day...we have some weird laws here in NC.

My employer doesn't allow carry as per policy. Last I heard, they were working on a policy to prevent employees from keeping one in their vehicle. :(

I CC everyday, but my friends that know I CC ask me questions like "Why do you carry here or there"... I never carry to work or into bars. Every other place I go I carry. Is this normal? I've had questions such as "Why do you carry in the local grocery store?... Why do you carry at the park?... Why do you carry to other family members house?" I even know people that have been around guns their whole life and are big gun advocates now and they don't carry everyday... Am I missing something? Why get a concealed carry permit and not carry all the time? Maybe I need to realize just because I have the firearm and permit doesn't mean I can't live without it.

I don't know. Responsible HighRoad members please comment.

Normal, yes. Are you missing something? No.

I don't care because I am expecting to need to use it. I am not carrying because I want to prove something. I am not carrying because it's cool. I am carrying because crime doesn't discriminate based on who you are or where you are. It can happen anywhere. So why not have the option of a gun available? If you carry, you should carry everywhere you are legally allowed to.

I don't normally carry, because I'm not normally in a state where I can carry legally. When I am though, unless I'm out because I'm drinking, I'm carrying.

I ALWAYS carry when I am with a loved one. I ALMOST ALWAYS carry when I am alone.

Why? Because do-do happens when you least expect it and I have a risk-adverse personality. This is the same reason why I have go-bags, stand-by gas generators, insurance, monitored security system with backups, surveillance cameras, cell phones, stashed guns...etc...etc. It may not guarantee that the BG don't get us, but it sure does make their job a hell of a lot harder.

It would be a great thing to have my wife and me reach our late 80's unscathed by evil.

I carry everywhere, except to where I am not allowed. Even when going from the living room to the bedroom, I'll take my gun. I take my gun and put it in a bathroom closet when I shower (to spare it the mosusture).

Everywhere.
