Do You Oil Your Guns Before Taking Them To The Range?

I do not and will not oil my guns, at least in the traditional sense. My procedure is nearly identical to the YouTuber GunBlue490's. A simple wipe down of parts with a very, very sparingly oiled cloth is all I've ever done, and that's purely for staving off corrosion. They're relatively low friction and low temperature machines, they don't need oil to function. I'm of the opinion that if you can see or feel oil on your gun, you've got way too much on it.

But to answer the question, I clean my guns generally after shooting them. I'm not in any way anal about cleaning very often, though. I've went years without cleaning some of my very dirty and very well used guns.

I'll check a firearm before going to the range and oil if needed. As well as bring oil with me, because you never know. I keep most of my firearms oiled well enough to prevent corrosion and for range trips.
