Whatever I buy next, and whatever I sold previous.

But the most fun shooter I have is:

But wait, so is this:

But I shoot best with this:

My 357 revolver is the only revolver I own at the moment.....but it's special and I'll never sell it.

I wish I had my long barrel Ruger 45 convertible, but someone broke into my house and stole it many years ago......the day before I bought my gun safe. ;) That six gun turned out to be irreplacable.

So judging by what I shoot most....pistols.

I shoot guns because I like guns and want to shoot them; not for any further purpose. So I had mostly revolvers, because that’s what I like.

But I also have a pair of p238s, and when I shot them it was a bit of a revelation. So easy to shoot and so little recoil!

I’m going back to revolvers because I don’t want to get spoiled.

I chose "other". I take both to the range when I go. I enjoy shooting both of them. But I will give the edge to the revolver cause I don't have to stoop over and pickup my brass.

Old Sarge

I like the look and romance of nice revolvers (and pretty bolt action rifles) but think semi-auto pistols (and stainless synthetic bolt guns and MSRs) are more practical.

If I could own only one class it would be the more practical ones.

Pistols for me. I like the different types of semi-autos and the design/engineering that went into them through the years. I like the fact that when other guys shoot theirs and leave the brass behind, I get to pick it up. :)

But I do really like a big revolver once in a while.

I dislike specific autos, havent shot any revolvers I didn't like yet. Otherwise no real preference.
Ive got 3 revolvers, and 6 or 7 autos, and all get shot about equally even the p32....when I can get cheap ammo.

I prefer revolver over a polymer striker fire auto for sure. Since i have gotten access to a revolver i couldn't care less about shooting the autos.

i have very recently gained access to a 1911. I have high hopes for it being right up there with revolvers.

Revolvers and Glocks feel horrible in my hand. 1911s, CZ75s, BHPs, and P-08s fit my hand like a glove. Close my eyes, bring gun up, open my eyes, and the gun is almost perfectly aligned with the target. Glocks and revolvers are pointing at the ceiling and I've had arthritis in my wrists since before I ever took up shooting, so shooting with a "cocked" wrist to bring the muzzle down is painful.
The gun should fit YOU. You should not have to MAKE the gun work for you.

I like them both. I prefer revolvers for the range and field, and carry a semiauto more frequently for CCW—but do on occasion carry a revolver. Slight edge to revolvers overall.

I have found that if I practice with a DA/SA revolver, it translates to me shooting my semi-autos better. The converse is not true, for me. So, I like shooting revolvers for a variety or reasons including it being a great training aid for a proper trigger pull.

Which of my children do I love the most? I love them the same but each is special in their own way.

Except for maybe that worn out Iver Johnson 32.

In general I prefer a revolver for carry outdoors. CCW is a pocket auto then again I have never owned an easily concealed centerfire revolver. The Iver Johnson doesn't count.

As to what is the most practical that really depends on one's priorities and situation. I also hold that versatility is an important characteristic of practicality.

If I could have only one gun it would be a 4" .357.
