And then, once it's long gone only having it or something like it back will make you happy...
I suppose that's like the quickest way to find something I've lost is to buy a replacement. Actually, the only gun I regret selling is my 1967 vintage Remington 700 ADL 6mm Remington rifle. It was my first new centerfire, I collected more than a dozen deer with it, and I can still remember the feel of the bolt operation and trigger in my mind. It did everything I needed it to do, but the Winchester Model 70 featherweight in 7mm Mauser that succeeded it was prettier, more classy, and...nowhere near as accurate. Sigh.
