Do you reload 460 S&W Magnum on a Dillon Press?

i am shooting it out of a 12" Smith and Wesson perfomance center revolver. My load is 37 grains. Total loaded cartridge length is 2.155, crimpped on the crimp groove. I am using the XTPs designated as "magnum". primers are in good shape, no where near flat, with easy case extraction. I could not tell you what velocitys i am getting, as my Chronograph got shot by someone a while back who has failed to replace it for me, and i havent seen fit to invest in another yet. I also couldn't tell you exactly how acurate the load is, as i dont use a bench rest. I will tell you it doesnt miss my 18 inch gong at 300 yards if i do my part.
I have the 8 3/8" barrel. I tried the 300 XTP in mine, with 34.0 - 36.0gn of 300-MP. The max velocity I saw, 1588fps, was at the min charge, the velocity dropped slightly as I went up. I saw similar behavior with 300-MP in my 5" 357mag, it reached a velocity plateau almost 1.5gn below max charge, but when I tried the same loads in my 16" carbine, the velocity increased pretty linear up to the max charge. I think 300-MP works best in longer barrels.

Just ordered a set of Redding Pro Series carbide progressive dies from midway. I figure they will probably last the rest of my life.

It's an expensive proposition, but I don't see myself ever getting rid of my 460 magnum. it's a fun gun, and since birthday money helped me pay for it, I view it partially as a gift from years ago.
