i think most of us has owned one of those awful .22 scopes from Tasco or some other garbage brand at one time. Scopes that are fragile, dark and hard to use. But the form factor is great if you want the most compact configuration possible.

I’m thinking about buying a 10/22 takedown model and and am considering the lightest and most compact sighting option other than iron sights. A good quality version of the cheap .22 scope would be ideal for this purpose IMO. Does such a thing exist?

The lightest and most compact option other than iron sights would be a RDS, not a scope. What's your budget?

Never heard of them, I’m going to check them out.

Reportedly, several members at Rimfire Central have these scopes. I've been tempted to try one, due to the small size and weight. Especially that post & cross hair reticle, just for fun's sake. But, I already have enough "orphan" scopes laying around at the moment. :D

If you end up getting one, please give us a report. :)
