Does a decent quality 7/8 rimfire scope exist?

i think most of us has owned one of those awful .22 scopes from Tasco or some other garbage brand at one time. Scopes that are fragile, dark and hard to use. But the form factor is great if you want the most compact configuration possible.

I’m thinking about buying a 10/22 takedown model and and am considering the lightest and most compact sighting option other than iron sights. A good quality version of the cheap .22 scope would be ideal for this purpose IMO. Does such a thing exist?

I like my old Bushnell Sport view 3x9 with a 1" tube. Has the adjustable objective like above.

Then your best bet will be moving to a low-magnification 1-inch scope. Something with a 28mm or smaller objective. Here's an example:

Reportedly, several members at Rimfire Central have these scopes. I've been tempted to try one, due to the small size and weight. Especially that post & cross hair reticle, just for fun's sake. But, I already have enough "orphan" scopes laying around at the moment.

I can, but I like the idea of a small compact scope for a light short range rifle.
